The Idea of Change

Hola señoritas!

I have a few things to note before I get onto properly writing this blog. One is I must sincerely apologise for not completing my mini happies. I had no time on the Friday to write a blog, and during that weekend I became ill so literally slept all the time. I hope to in the near future maybe do it again though, as I really enjoyed doing it. Second, I apologise for not blogging in so long. I have no excuse apart from that I feel I lost my 'mojo' for blogging. But I am determined to get back in to it now, seeing as it is almost Christmas, and have quite a few blogs I want to write during the festive period. Now, on to the actual blog!

During the last couple months, I have been thinking about a lot of things. And the topic of this blog is something I have been thinking about the most. The idea of change. Change happens every day, I know that, but it is subtle, and we do not always realise it. But I am really scared of change, especially with all the change in my life that will take place within the next 6-12 months.

As I am in 6th year at school, I am currently going through the process of applying for university. This is both an exciting and terrifying time for me, due to the nerves of whether I will be accepted or not. More importantly though, the change it will bring.

For the last 6 years, I have had pretty much the same schedule, and have enjoyed it. Going to school, seeing and hanging about with the same people, doing the same activities week in week out. But, school is almost over, and everything is going to be different. I won't see most of the people from school ever again, which is something that really upsets me. Everyone is going to move away to go to university or college, and I will lose touch with so many amazing people.

I am most scared about the change that will occur between my main friendship group. We spend so much time together just now, going to parties, chilling with each other and just enjoying being in each others company. But we all want to go on to do different things, at different places. The thought of not being able to see them every day is going to be so hard, and it makes me realise that I need to spend as much time with them as I can, and iv'e realised that I can't take them for granted.

I really like the quote 'the only thing constant in life is change' because this is so true. And although I am scared of change, I know I am going to have to embrace it sooner rather than later. This new change to my life will give me new opportunities and experiences, and it may even be for the better.

I am so happy I got that off my chest haha. I hope you enjoyed reading it and i'll see you all soon with another blog!

Much love x

Mini Happies Day 4

Hola Senoritas!

I can't believe it is Thursday already! This week is going way too fast for my liking. Before I know it I will be back at school, which I don't want to happen. So here goes my mini happies for today!

1. I went to my gran's house again today and took the dogs with me. I had a nice cup of tea and a cake and sat for a while in the summer house. My gran and I spoke about loads and we even did some colouring in, which I love as it is so therapeutic.

2. I only live about 5 minutes from my gran's house, but today I really enjoyed the walk home. The weather was nice and chilly and I felt all cosy wrapped up in my cardigan and scarf. I even put on my winter boots today for the first time.

3. When I got home, I had a nap. I usually nap quite a lot but haven't had a chance to this week, so it was amazing being able to have one for a while this afternoon.

4. My mum and dad are going on holiday tomorrow, so my mum didn't want to cook any tea. So instead we all had a takeaway and I chose to have a chinese. I had chicken fried rice and prawn crackers which was sooo good. I am a really picky eater so chicken fried rice is literally the only thing I will order from the chinese, but I love it so much I could eat it again and again.

5. I gutted out my room tonight and it felt amazing to get it done. I spent a good hour tidying it, and had my music blaring whilst doing it. I finished it off by switching on my fairy lights and lighting some candles so my room looked extra cosy.

I didn't do much today to be honest, but I really enjoyed the little time I got out of the house and I am looking forward to the next few days to come as I have a lot planned. Hope you all had a good day and I will see you all tomorrow with day 5!

Much love x

Mini Happies Day 3

Hola señoritas!

Today I felt quite lousy again, but managed to try cheer myself up later on in the day. I feel doing these mini happies helps find the good parts of a day, when in my head it isn't all going to plan. So here are my mini happies for Wednesday!

1. When getting ready this morning for work, I had a really nice and long shower. Normally in the morning I am pushed for time before I have to leave, but today I had loads of time so relaxed in the shower listening to music.

2. It was really sunny and the sky was clear this morning, so I was able to use the natural sunlight to do my make up this morning. I feel using artificial light to do my make up is horrible, as it looks completely different, so it was great that the sun decided to come out this morning.

3. Today was my good friend Michaela's 21st birthday and I am classing this as a mini happy because Michaela is one of the very few people who can cheer me up when I feel down and can make me laugh! love you lots Michaela and hope you had a good day!

4. Tonight, I was invited to a surprise birthday party for my friend Thirza. It turned out be a good night, with good company, lots of laugh and (okay) music. Happy birthday for tomorrow Thirza.

5. After the party, Danielle, Rachel and Morgan all came up back to mine. We sat in my room and had a nice chat and a lot of laughs. I love my friends so much and they always make me smile.

6. I painted my nails tonight a really pretty mint green colour. I love painting my nails and feel it adds to an outfit and cheers me up so much. It's also so relaxing to do which I love.

7.  Once I got all cosy in my pyjamas, I lay in bed for quite a while playing Spider Solitaire. It's my guilty pleasure!

I hope everyone had an amazing day whatever you got up to and i'll see you all tomorrow!
Happy birthday Michaela (tb to 2010)

Mini Happies Day 2

Hola señoritas!

I must admit today was rather uneventful compared to yesterday, but there were still loads of mini happies throughout my day. So here goes my mini happies for Tuesday!

1. I woke up quite early this morning, so I went and brought the dogs into my room and watched Impractical Jokers with a cup of tea and cuddling in all cosy with the puppies. The colder mornings are coming now and I love nothing better than staying in bed later in the morning being all cosy.

2. My best friend Danielle is going to her dads tomorrow, and so I won't see her until next week. So today she came over for a couple of hours. We decided to take the dogs out for a walk and it was so nice. The weather was quite chilly, but was really nice. When we got back, we had a huge mug of hot chocolate and some lunch too and it was super cute.

3. I was working from 4-8 today, and I was dreading it, as I haaaate this shift. But today I really enjoyed it. I spent half of my shift on tills which was busy the whole time, and the other 2 tidying the shop by front facing everything, which is my all time favourite thing to do at work.

4. My mum treated me to a McDonald's for tea tonight and it was fab. I amen't a huge fan of McDonald's but tonight I was really craving one, and some fries, a double cheeseburger and a Mcflurry went down a treat.

5. I got home and put on some fluffy pyjamas and socks and got all cosy in my bed and started to watch Frozen. Frozen is one of my favourite Disney films and is a great way to end a really good day.

So today was a lot more laid back than yesterday, but I really enjoyed what I got up. Thank you for reading my mini happies for today and I will see y'all tomorrow!

Much love x

Mini Happies Day 1

Hola Senoritas!

So today kick starts the week of my 'mini happies'. Today I have literally spent, at most, 2 hours in my own house, because I have been super busy today, but I have loved it. So here are my mini happies of what would usually be a dismal Monday.

1. I am currently on holiday from school, so didn't have to get up early for school. I was able to have a long lie and it was amazing.

2. Whilst getting ready this morning, I listened to loads of Disney music from all the films. You can't get much better than that!

3. Today I had a driving lessons and I finally went to Kirkcaldy. This is where my test will take place which is so scary. I had a really good lesson and came on leaps and bounds with my driving abilities, I even managed to successfully do a 3 point turn, unlike the week before anyway haha.

4. I decided to go to my Gran's for lunch and she had made a giant pot of soup. It was delicious. I usually go to my grans every lunch time during the school term and I love being able to see her every day to have a nice chat and catch up on what we have been doing.

5. A couple weeks ago, my good friend Michaela, had a baby. She had a gorgeous little girl called Isabel and today I finally got to meet her. She is sooo precious! It was really nice being able to catch up with Michaela as I haven't seen her in such a long time, and it was really good to get cuddles from baby Isabel too!

6. Tonight I decided to go to my friends Danielle. We don't do much when we are together, we just chill and listen to music, but I really enjoy it. I love being able to do this because it is so nice to be able to relax in the company of my fave. We also had a huge bowl of ice cream each and it was so good.

7. When I got home from Danielle's, my mum had a mug of hot chocolate waiting for me in my room. If that's not love then I don't know what is.

So it is fair to say that I had a very jam packed and busy day, but I loved it! Thankyou for reading my 'mini happies' today and I will be back tomorrow with day 2!

Beauty Tag!

Hola Senoritas!

So I haven't done a tag in a while, so thought I would do the beauty tag. My blog is mostly about beauty and make up so what better tag to do!

Skincare

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice a day, in the morning and before I go to bed

What skin type do you have? ( dry, oily, combination)
I have really oily skin and it is the bane of my life. However sometimes, especially in winter, my skin can become much dryer

Do you ex-foliate?
Yes, I use a daily exfoliator that targets blocked pores and blackheads

What brand do you use?
I have two which I chop and change, one is by Simple and the other is by Avon

What moisturiser do you use?
I have a really sensitive face so I have to be super careful with what moisturiser I use. Right not ,I am using cocoa butter face cream which I love

Do you have freckles?
Nope I do not

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes, and I absolutely hate it!

Did you ever use ProActiv?
Nope. I used to use a cream called Duac but was allergic to it, so now I am on antibiotics to try stop my spots

Make Up

What foundation do you use?
Rimmell London's Match Perfection in the shade 100 Ivory

How about concealer?
Rimmell London's Wake Me Up Concealer in the shade 100 Ivory

Do you know your undertone colour?
I think I have a blue undertone

What do you think of fake eyebrows?
I think they are really nice if you are going out to a party or something, but not for just everyday use. Luckily I have really long natural eyelashes so don't need to use them

Did you know you're meant to change your mascara every 3 months?
I did indeed, and I usually finish mine before then

What brand of Mascara do you use?
Avon Supershock 1,2,3 mascara in black or Rimell London mascara

Sephora or Mac?
We don't get Sephora in the UK so has to be Mac

What make up tools do you use in make up application?
Foundation brush, concealer brush, powder blush, angled brush for contour, eyelash brush, make up sponge, eye shadow brush and blender, eyebrow brush, lip lining brush and I also use a make up setting spray

Do you use a make up primer for the eyes?
Nope I do not, but I really should

For the face?
Yes I do, Rimmell London's lasting finish primer

What is your favourite eye shadow colour or shade?
I really like browns and nudes

Do you use pencil or liquid eye liner?
I used to use a pencil but now use liquid and find it so much longer lasting and easier to apply

What do you think of pigment eye shadow?
Really heavy on the eyes

Do you use mineral make up?
Nope

What is your favourite lipstick?
-Mac Lipstick in Girl About Town
-Mac Lipstick in Heroine
- Rimmell London Kate Moss in shade 107

How about lip gloss?
I hateee lip gloss, it is super sticky and I just generally dislike it

What is your favourite blusher?
I don't actually wear blusher as I don't think I suit it

Do you buy make up on Ebay?
No, I don't trust it

Do you like drug store make up?
Well I cant afford super expensive make up so tend to buy drug store make up so yes

Did you ever consider going to make up classes?
I think it would be fun yeah, but right now YouTube videos will do

Are you clumsy in putting on make up?
Sometimes, I am quite bad for getting my mascara on my nose, but I do generally take my time applying my make up every morning

Name a make up crime you hate!
I have a few, one is the make up line when people don't rub in their foundation right, and another one is when people wear a foundation shade that is definitely not their shade

Do you like colourful shades of make up (lipstick, eye shadow) or neutral tones?
I like a bold, colourful lip shade but neutral eyes

Which celebrity always has great make up?
All of them tbh

If you could leave the house with only ONE make up item on, what would it be?
I would have to say mascara, because I have naturally blonde eyelashes, so without I look like I have no lashes whatsoever

Could you ever leave the house with no make up on?
No not at all, unless I am only going to my gran's in the car or something

Do you think you look good even without make up on?
No not at all, which isn't good because people should be happy with embracing the natural look

In your opinion, what is the BEST make up line?
They are all good in their own ways so I honestly can't pick a best one

What do you think of make up?
I think it is an amazing thing. It enables girls to boost their confidence and looks darn good too!

I really enjoyed doing that tag, and it has made me want to buy loads of new make up. Feel free to use the tag yourself and fill it out.

Have a good day!

Mini Happies

Hola Senoritas!

A few months back, my best friend Danielle did a week long post on her blog called 'mini happies'. In these she wrote a blog every night mentioning what made her happy that day. After seeing this, I thought it was an amazing idea and asked her if I could do it too, and she said yes! (check out Danielles mini happies blog here)

I have decided to do this myself because lately I have been feeling horrible with myself and feel that highlighting the little things that make me happy each day will make me realise that I am okay and that my days aren't all that bad.

This is a just a short blog introducing that I will be doing this, and I will be starting this on Monday.

Have an amazing week!

September Favourites!

Hola senoritas!

Where in the world has this year gone haha? It only feels like yesterday that I was celebrating New Year. And now we only have 3 months left until 2016 is over. I am so excited for these coming months (as said in my previous blogs).

In September, I tried so many different products which I tried and absolutely adored. Most of these favourites are going to be make up based, as I had a big clearout of my make up and bought some really nice new products, and plan on buying even more.

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit
Recently I have noticed that contouring has become a big thing.
I decided to try it myself but didn't want to buy an expensive one
in case I didn't like it. I picked up the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit
at Superdrug for only £6.49. I really enjoy using it, and it is a really good price for someone
who wants to try it out. It applies really easily and I love being able to follow the instructions
on the packaging for easy application.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer
About a year ago, I started using a primer and loved it as it helped prolong the wear
of my makeup and left my skin feeling smooth. However, once it had finished, I
never bothered to buy a new one. A couple of weeks ago I seen Rimmel London
Lasting Finish Primer (£6.99 at Superdrug).
After using it I feel that my skin
is so much nicer and it is easier to apply my makeup. I highly recommend everyone
to buy a primer if they don't already own one, because it is a great extra to your
make up routine and improves the look and feeling of your skin and finished make up look.
Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Bronze Palette
Nude and bronze eyeshadow shades are by far my favourite, especially at this time of year. I
decided I wanted to try a new eyeshadow palette and so picked up the Collection Eyes Uncovered
Nude Bronze Palette (£3.99).
This palette is by far my favourite drug store one out there and is super cheap.
My favourite shades are Ochre and Golden Brown. I find this eyeshadow super easy to apply and blend and
look really pretty either blended together or as seperate bold colours.

Rimmel London Brow This Way Styling Gel
I have natural blonde eyebrows, so finding products for my eyebrows proves to be
difficult as most products in the shops are brown or black. I seen Rimmel London Brow
This Way Styling Gel in Blonde (£3.99) on TV and decided to try it. I really like how nice
it goes on and the easiness it is to apply. It leaves my eyebrows looking natural and thick which
is great.

Windows on the World
A bit of a random one that strays away from make up, but this book had to be
included in my favourites. I had to read
Windows On The World by Frederic
Beigbeder for my english dissertation and fell in love. I don't want to give too much
away but the book is about a man stuck in the twin towers when the plane strikes at 8:46. The
story catches a minute to minute account of what happens from 8:30 to 10:28. I absolutely
adored this book and found it so moving, and I did shed a few tears at it. A highly enjoyable
read that I would recommend to anyone.
So my month of September was spent trying loads of new make up products which I think everyone should try. I plan to write another September favourites in a couple of days but instead of all the fun plans I got up to.

Bleugh

Recently, I have been feeling quite down. I've been ill a lot too, and times like these I just feel horrible with myself and want to cry. I'm not depressed (but have so much respect for people who go through depression and other mental illnesses on a daily basis) but I have just been feeling bleugh inside and all I have wanted to do is hide under my covers away from everyone and everything.

I don't feel like this usually, only really when I am ill or have had a shitty week or been in a tough situation. I thought I would write this blog to share some of my favourite things I have found to do that cheer me up a bit, whether I am ill, upset or feeling down inside.

Have a cup of tea- I am a sucker for a cup of tea at the best of times, but when I am ill or feeling rubbish a nice big mug of tea helps cheer me up and also warms me up. I love being able to wrap my hands around the warm mug and get some heat in me.

Paint my nails- Bit of a strange one, but I always find painting my nails helps cheer me up a lot. I feel naked when I go out without painted nails haha and painting my nails instantly cheers me up being able to add a pop of colour to my outfit. Also it adds a touch of 'glam' and fashion, even if I am just sitting around in my pyjamas all day.

Watch Disney Movies- Disney films are my go to type of  movies. Whenever I feel like rubbish I put on a Disney film and find myself singing along and feeling happy. My favourites have to be Tangled, Frozen and the Lion King. I could literally spend a whole day watching Disney films (my best friend Danielle would agree, and she would easily join me)

Have a long hot shower- Sadly I don't have a bath in my house, but I really enjoy having a nice long shower to help feel better in myself. I always feel rejuvenated afterwards and loveee putting on clean pyjamas and getting all cosy.

Colour in- Again a strange one, but colouring in helps me relax and unwind. I could spend hours upon hours colouring in just one picture. I own Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom (£5 on Amazon) and love nothing more than spending my time colouring on all the pretty pictures.
One of the many pretty pictures
in Millie Marotta's book

Sleep- They say sleep is the best medicine, and I totally agree with this statement. I love getting cosy in my bed and sleeping off anything for a few hours. I'd say catching z's is definitely becoming one of my hobbies.

See you all soon!

Much love x

Cold days are coming

Summer is well and truly over in Scotland. Long gone are the warm(ish) days and these instead have been replaced by cooler days and darker nights. Autumn and winter are fast approaching, and to say I am excited is definitely an understatement.

Although I love summer and everything that goes along with it, I much prefer autumn and winter. There are so many things to do and loads of holidays to celebrate. I love the longer nights, the comfy jumpers, the hot chocolate and the heat from the fire during this time. I feel like I get closer to my friends at this time period too, because we tend to stay in more and not feel obliged to go out places and instead enjoy each others company.

I was very recently chatting to my good friend Danielle ( tartanvibez.blogspot.co.uk check her out) were sharing our excitement for the autumn and festive seasons. We came up with so many fun ideas we want to do and what better place to write them down is on my blog. Now, I wrote a summer 'bucket list' way back in May, and didn't exactly stick to it. But with Summer, the weather was so bad that we couldn't do much of the activities we originally wanted to do. However, with this time of year I feel that weather is not a limitation, because loads of activities are indoors and the cold weather is expected at this time. So, fingers crossed, everything on this list will be completed by New Year and will be an amazing end to an amazing year!

1. Halloween Party

2. Go to Guy Falkes Night

3. Carve pumpkins

4. Go to winter wonderland

5.Go ice skating

6. Have some amazing hot chocolate

7. Cosy movie night (Christmas films or Disney or both)

8. Toast marshmallows

9. Make Smores

10. Snow ball fight (if we get snow that is)

11. Christmas parties/night outs

12. Christmas shopping

13. Slumber party at Christmas time

14. New Years Party

Just writing this list is getting me super excited for the months to come! I want to make it memorable and fun, and spend as much time with my friends as I can because before we know it we'll all be going our separate ways to college or university.

I am really looking forward to seeing what this halloween/festive season brings and will definitely blog a lot of it.

Summer is over

Hola Senoritas!

So on Wednesday, I started my final year at school. I am super excited to be going in to this final year with so many things to look forward to like prom, countless trips and spending time with all my friends before we go our seperate ways. Although I am back at school now, I am really gutted that summer is over as it went way too fast. So I thought this blog would be good to share some memories from summer.

Summer this year I would say was mediocre. It was not a bad summer but I feel it could have been way better than it was. The horrible weather and extra hours at work meant I didn't get to do as many things as I planned, but I did still get to do some fun things. I got to go to Bulgaria with my family, went to many parties, spent time with my favourites and had some lazy days. So here are a few photos of some of my favourite moments from Summer 2015!

So these are only just a few photos from my summer. I am super looking forward to the rest of this year and can't wait to get up to more fun stuff! Hope you all had an amazing summer.

July Favourites!

Hola Señoritas! Where in the world did July go? It feels like it was here and gone in the blink of an eye. We didn't get much sun where I live, if any, so July was a pretty boring, miserable month. But I did try and love loads of new products so here is my July Favourites!

Provoke Touch Of Silver Shampoo

After getting my hair cut in February, I was left with my natural hair colour, which is a darkish blonde. I was quite bored with it after a couple months and wanted it lighter, but didn't want to ruin it and dye it. So I decided to try Pro-voke Touch of Silver Colour Care Shampoo and I love it! It is a gradual lightner to your hair and it left my hair feeling soft and smooth. I paid about £5 for the shampoo and conditioner which is quite cheap.

Mac Lipstick in Heroine

When I went on holiday, I decided to look at the Mac counter at Duty Free. I decided to get a Mac Matte Lipstick in the shade Heroine. It is a purple shade and this is something I have never tried before so was quite unsure whether I would suit it or not but I absolutely love it! It was only £12.60 as it was at Duty Free. I wish I had chosen to wear this shade of lipstick sooner because it is sooo pretty.
Millie Marotta Colouring book

I decided to buy myself an adult colouring book for going on holiday as I wanted something to do in case it was too hot or there was time at night. I bought Millie Marotta's colouring book called Animal Kingdom. I absolutely love it as it has so many gorgeous pictures to colour in and they all have intricate detail in them. I got it for £10 which is quite pricey for a colouring book but I highly recommend it for the price as I can spend hours colouring in the pretty animals in the book.

Avon Care Moisturiser

I suffer from very oily and spot prone skin and am also allergic to a lot of things on my face so have to be careful when buying face creams. I bought Avon's Light Moisture Face Cream with cucumber and green tea to try it out. It is for oily skin and cost £3. It leaves my face feeling smooth and fresh and luckily doesn't react to it.

Cute Cup

I had seen lots of people on instagram with these cups and I really wanted one but could find them nowhere. But luckily I found this one in Matalan. It cost me only £3 which is a bargain. It is really cute and summery and I love using it so much. I also really like how much juice you can get in them.

So July was a month in which I tried and loved many new things which I plan to continue using throughout August and beyond. Hope you all had a good July and are getting ready for Autumn coming!

The Stress is Over!

Hola Senoritas! I am very sorry that I have not blogged in what seems like forever. I recently went on holiday and then I have been working most of the time so have had next to no time to even think about blogging, But now I am determined to get back into the swing of things.

Another reason I have not been blogging is because of exams. This was a very stressful time not just for me, but all my friends too. And today, 4th August, we all finally got the results.

These were mine:

Higher English A
Higher History A
Higher Chemistry C
Higher Maths C
National 5 Biology A

I am over the moon to say the least! No way did I expect to get a C in English, never mind an A! I am not going to lie and say I was completely buzzing because I got a sinking feeling when I read I had only achieved a C in chemistry. I tried so hard the whole year and was really hoping for a B, but I am still so happy with my results.

I hope everyone got the results they wanted and hoped for, and if not, it's not the end of the world because a bunch of letters on a piece of paper does not define who we are and should not control our futures.

Hope to see you soon with some new blogs!

Holiday mode: On!

Hola Señoritas! So, in less than 2 weeks from now, I go on holiday! I'm going to Bulgaria on the 29th June for 10 days with my parents and my gran and I can't wait. Holiday mode is definitely switched on.

I am so excited to be able to just get away from my home town for a while because it is honestly the most annoying and boring place in the world. I really enjoy getting the opportunity to go abroad every year and it is a great privilege considering many people cannot afford to go away.

So as I said, my holiday mode has definitely been switched on. I have been buying clothes non stop for the past few weeks( I might write a blog nearer the time showing some of my favourite clothes I got for going on holiday) and I have also been rambling on about it to loads of people.

There are many things I am excited for about going on holiday, so here they are.

Getting a tan. The thing I am most excited for is getting a tan. Living in Scotland means I have the palest skin known to man, as we rarely get any sun, and I hate fake tan so I never put it on. But going on holiday means I can get a nice, real tan and come home looking so much more bronzed than everyone else.

Cocktails. Bulgaria make some of the best cocktails I have ever had. I can't wait to sit by the pool or outside at night with a Pina Colada whilst having a good time with my family.

Going to Pacos. Pacos is a little restaurant not too far from where I am staying and I can't wait to get back and have their amazing spaghetti bolognase again.

So all in all, I am very much looking forward to my holiday and it can't come quick enough. I hope everyone else has a good holiday if they are going anywhere too.

Recent faves

Hola my senoritas! Usually, I would have wrote a weekly blog mentioning what I got up to that week. But seeing as I haven't been blogging because of exams, I have decided to squeeze it all into one blog.

This past month, apart from sitting exams, I have been getting up to lots of things. I have had an amazing past few weeks with friends and seeing people I don't usually get to see very often.

Katrina's Surprise 30th

On Saturday 16th May, I went to my good friend Katrina's surprise party. She had no clue and her reaction was priceless! Quite a few of my good friends which was really good. It was amazing catching up with people and also having a dance and a sing on the karaoke.

Friends
I didn't know what to title this part, but I have spent a lot of time with my good friends Rachel, Danielle and Clare. I really enjoy just sitting in someone's house and listening to music with my favourite people. Beats going out getting steaming anyway.

Nicola's Party

Rachel asked Danielle and I to go to her friends 18th party. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as I knew literally no one going, but it ended up being an amazing night. I definitely seen Rachel in a different light that night anyway.

Filming VEDJ with Clare
So my friend Clare has a YouTube channel (check it out) and decided for the month of June she was going to post a video every day. So I agreed to film a couple videos with her. We filmed the 7 Second Challenge and also did a cover of the song I See Fire by Ed Sheeran. It was really fun and enjoyable to do, but I won't be choosing to post videos myself anytime soon.

I got up to a few more things such as a charity night, but I plan to keep them for a later blog in June.

I'm back

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last blog! All I can do is apologise for my lack of blogging over the last month, but school and exams took priority so I had to spend all my time revising.

Luckily though, I have so many blog ideas coming up in June, which I hope people will enjoy reading.

This is a very short blog as I just wanted to say sorry for the limited number of blogs but I promise that the numbers will quickly pick up again.

Oh, I also want to add in. My good friend Clare is doing a video everyday in June (VEDJ) over on her YouTube channel so go check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

Much love x

Summer Bucket List

Summer, as we know, is just around the corner. In Scotland, we are lucky if summer lasts a day. This summer though, I want to make it the best summer it ever can be. So I want to write a summer bucket list, and when on completion of something on the list, I will blog about it. There was so many things I want to do and try out, and I can't wait until Summer comes around.

1. Have a garden party( including a bbq)

2. Go to the beach

3. Go back to Falkland( this is a very pretty place near where I live)

4. Bulgaria

5. Make a YouTube account

6. Play paint twister

7. Movie marathon

8. Watch the stars

9. Go on a nice long walk

10. Charity walk for Young Minds

11. Make tie dye t shirts

12. Have a picnic

13. Go to the cinema

14. Go to a party

15. Have friends round for some drinks

16. Treat family to lunch

17. Make a photo journal

18.Try something new

19. Shopping

20.Random act of kindness

Now, that is a lot of things I have planned, but I am hoping to be able to do most, if not all of these. Leave a comment telling me what you want to do this summer, and I might even get some ideas!

Revision, friends and more revision!

Hola my amigos! As you may or may not know, it is exam time in Scotland. So I have spent the majority of this week revising for upcoming exams in the next few weeks. But, as promised, here is my weekly favourites. This week, I didn't do many exciting things, but I hope that after exams are over, I can get back to being able to doing more exciting things than just revising.

Night in with friends

On Monday, Danielle asked my friends Clare, Rachel and I all over to hers. We chilled, listened to music and had a good laugh. We do this a lot and I love it so much, getting to spend time with my three best friends. Love my chikkas!

Shopping
Summer is so soon, and I was so unprepared for it when it comes to clothes. So on Thursday, my mum and I decided to go shopping. I love buying new clothes and trying loads of different things on. I bought quite a lot and love it all (some if it will be in a summer clothes blog later). I love going shopping with my mum because we get to spend one on one time together and have a laugh.

Revision

I hate revision more than anything, but one night this week, I sat down with a cup of tea and revised for a good solid few hours. It felt sooo nice afterwards knowing that I had at least gotten somewhere with it all.

Night with Rachel
Danielle went to her dads this weekend, and Clare had her cousin over from Ireland, so Rachel and I were lost for things to do. So we decided on Rachel coming round to mine for a nice night to chill. We decided to eat loads of crap and watched The Boy in the Striped Pjamas. I love that film and it is a right tear jerker. If you haven't seen it then I strongly suggest you do!

Well, that's been my rather uneventful week, but next week is looking to be much better.

April Favourite 2015

Hola my señoritas! As you know, we are well into the month of May, but I thought it was time to share my April favourites with you. Last month I tried quite a few new products which I love. Usually, with products such as makeups or perfumes, I am really picky and tend to just stick with the same ones all the time. But in April I decided to try some new things and was not disappointed.

Barry M matte top coat

For my friend Danielles birthday, I bought her the Barry M top coat. I loved it after trying it but never got round to actually buying it. Last month though, there was an offer on at Superdrug which was buy 2 products and get 1 free. So I decided to finally get this top coat. I love it so much because it takes a shade that is usually really shiny and bright and makes it matte. It is especially nice over pastel shades such as light blues or purples. It costs either £2.99 or £3.99 so it is really affordable.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Rocking Curves Mascara

With mascara, I am really unadventurous. For the last 3 years I have used the same mascara from Avon, because I found that it made my eyelashes look really nice and long and didn't clump them together. However, last month I ran out of it, and it would be another two weeks until a new one arrived. So I went down town and bought Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes Rocking Curves and wow I love it! It leaves my eyelashes looking super long and it doesn't clump them together like other mascaras do. The shape of the brush also makes it super easy to apply. It costs only £6.99 so it is really cheap which is a bonus.

Bodyshop Moringa Body Mist

I've actually had this for a few months but I never really used it because I was too busy using DKNY perfume. I've been using it a lot this month though and I love it. It is in the scent Moringa and it smells so good! I also have it in the shower gel and the body cream which was all in a pack. The scent isn't too overpowering which is good and doesn't fade during the day. For the mist alone it is around £9 I think so it is a good price and I recommend.

Dunnes Candles

As you may already know, I love candles and wax melts. I was in a shop called Dunnes and notices these little candles and decided to buy some. I got them in the scent Vanilla Pod. They have 18 hours of burn time which is really good for a candle of this size. And the smell is amazing. They cost only £1.25 which is amazing too.

Take Out Of Me EP

So in February, I went to see Orla Gartland(I wrote about it in my February faves). A man named Martin Luke Brown was supporting and he was handing out his EP for free. I gave it a listen and fell in love with his voice. The trouble was though that I had a CD copy of his EP so could only listen to it in the car. But in April it finally was released on iTunes It is really cheap at only £1.99. My favourite song on it has to be Thorns. If you've never heard of him, I highly reckon you go give him a listen because his music is amazing.

Looks like I have seriously rambled on in this favourites blog so will leave it there. If you like the sound of any of these products then I recommend them all.
