Singing, horses and a Selfie Stick!

So, as I promised, here is another blog about my favourite moments of this week. I don't think I did much this week because I was at school and was also ill so didn't go out much, but I did have an amazing weekend and some good nights.

1. Night in with Clare
On Monday, I went over to Clare's and we tried to film a cover. It didn't go to plan though as I had a sore throat and a cough, So, instead, we just sang but didn't film any. It was really good to spend time with Clare because we don't get to spend time together a lot just us two. So it was good to have a good little catch up with her!

2.  Last week of 5th year
Now, this doesn't seem that exciting, but I thought I would put it in anyway. I'm now on study leave, and last week was my last ever week in 5th year. I feel like last year went by so fast. It's scary to think that I am going in to my last year at school. I really don't want to leave. However, I am very much looking forward to 6th year.

3. Selfie Stick fun
This is a random one, but I showed my brother my selfie stick that I got for my birthday and we took some stupid photos with it. It was good to spend just a little time with him because we don't often get to.

4. Teen Ranch 2015

This weekend I went to a place called Teen Ranch. It is a place where you stay for the weekend and do many activities such as horse riding, canoeing, archery, rifle shooting and mountain biking. I had been twice before so didn't think I would enjoy it as much, but I absolutely loved it! I loved the people who came this time and the weather was so nice which make the weekend even better. This time, we actually got to groom the horses during free time. It is such a fun thing to do and is actually so relaxing. My favourite part of the weekend though had to be horse riding, I loved being able to go on the trails and get to learn about horses because it's not something I get to do at home. Overall, I had an amazing week spend with some of my closest friends and I can't wait to go back next year.

So, this week I didn't do a whole lot, but the weekend definitely was my fav part.

Favourite moments this week

Earlier this year, in March, I wrote a blog about my favourite moments that happened in February. Having done this, I want to try something new. Every week, hopefully a Sunday, I want to write a blog that rounds up my week to share my favourite moments with everyone. It will also be a good thing to look back on at the end of the year to remember many memories.

This blog will be about my favourite moments and memories from the past two weeks, as it was the Easter holidays where I live, and I did loads of good things( I should have been revising!)

1. Loads of walks
The first week of the holidays, we had amazing weather. Usually in Scotland, we are lucky if we get one hot day of weather a year! But we had almost a full week of it which was great. I went on many walks with my friend Danielle. It was great to just go on a cute walk with her and have a nice chat in the sun whilst walking the dogs.

2. Party at Jamies
A work mate decided to have a party on the 11th, and he invited me, Danielle and Rachel. We weren't very sure about going as we knew hardly anyone that was going. But it was such a fun night and I met loads of new people who were so nice and funny.

3. Some 'me' time
For a few days in the holidays, I chose to stay in my pyjamas all day and watch TV and chill. It was so nice to be able to just relax and not have to leave the house and instead watch loads of films and drink lots of tea.

4. Rachel's Birthday
On Friday 17th, it was my good friends Rachel's 17th (Happy Birthday again Racket!).  For her birthday we all went for lunch at Frankie and Benny's. I am a very fussy eater but I loved what I chose to eat, which was chicken pasta and then brownies and ice cream. We then went back to Rachel's and listened to music and chilled. Perfect day with the favourites.
Happy Birthday Rachel!

So all in all, I had a good couple of weeks off school. Leave a comment telling me your favourite moments of this week. See you all soon!

When the Time Comes

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, but so many things have happened these past few weeks that have stopped me from writing a blog. And the topic of this blog is the main reason.

Last week , on Wednesday 8th April, my dog Diesel, sadly had to be put to sleep. It was a tough decision for all the family, but he was getting on in life. We found out he had a possible tumour on his foot, he was going blind, he had Spaniel's Mouth and just wasn't himself.

I don't want to highlight this sad part, instead I want to look at all the good times he was actually here. This blog isn't necessarily for anyone reading it, but more for me.

I  still feel everyday that he is still here. I come home from school or work and expect him to be at the door to welcome me, but he's not. I still shout for him out the back to tell him to come in, but he isn't there. I know I still have Dexter and Millie, but the house is a whole lot emptier now he is gone.

After he was gone, a very good friend of my mums sent us this, and it gave me a tear in my eye. Also, to anyone who has went through this, give it a read.

I'm going to leave this post here, and leave it with some pictures of my old man, who I will love and miss every day x

Happy Birthday!

So last Saturday, the 28th March, it was my birthday! I turned 17, which means I am now legally allowed to drive, which scares me.

For my birthday I got some amazing presents from friends and family, and I thought I would share them on my blog because I love them so much.

My own car!
This was the biggest surprise ever! I got my very own car from my mum and dad! It's a Seat Arosa and it is a really nice yellow colour. I can't wait to be able to drive in it, even though I haven't yet sent away for my Provisional License, so can't actually learn yet. Oops! I don't actually have a photo of it which sucks.

Polaroid Camera
I have wanted a polaroid camera for ages, but never had to money to buy one! However, a couple of days before my birthday I decided to buy one off of money I got from some family members. The one I bought is a Fujifilm instax mini7S instant camera and I got it from Argos for only £59.99. It takes really good photos and they are a nice size too. I can't wait to be able to use it on holiday and with friends during the summer.

Selfie Stick

So from my good friend Rachel, I got a few things, and the first was a selfie stick! I love taking photos and so she thought it would be good to buy me one! It is so good to take big group photos and I had a great time taking photos with it at my party.

Barry M Nail Varnish

Also from Rachel, I got two really nice nail varnishes. I've mentioned Barry M nail varnishes in another blog, and I love them so much that I got some for my birthday. The light blue one is called Blueberry and the purple one is a mermaid colour called Persian. I really like Barry M because it is super cheap and feels so nice when it is on.

Candle Melts
So my bestfriend Danielle knows how much I like candles and wax melts, so she bought me some Cherry Berry Blast Little Melts by Curly Candles. They are super cute and smell so good. I will definitely be buying some more soon.

The Cosiest onesie and socks ever

Also from Danielle, I got the nicest onesie ever. It is from NewLook and is a pretty light pink colour. Since I got it I've had it on all the time. She also got me the cutest socks ever, which have little cows on them, and they look so nice together.

Car Freshener

As I got a car, Rachel decided to get me a Yankee Candle Car Air Freshener. I love Yankee candle scents and what better than and Air Freshener of one. The one she got me is called Pink Sands and it smells of watermelon. I can't wait to be able to put it in my car.

As well as all these amazing presents, I also got lots of cards, money and loads of sweets and chocolate from friends and family. I had the best birthday I could have wished for, and got spoilt rotten. Roll on next year, where I turn 18. Scary Stuff.

30 Facts About Me Tag

6. I am learning to play guitar and ukulele, but I find it so hard because I am left handed and play a right handed guitar.
7. I love dogs, and have 3 already, but I really want a Newfoundland. They're so big and cuddly.
8. I want to be a nurse or a primary teacher when I am older, I just can't decide which one yet.

Favourite moments in February!

So I thought I would write a blog that is slightly different to the usual monthly favourites blogs. Instead of products and gizmos I have bought in the month and enjoyed using, I instead want to write about my favourite moments in the month. I want to do this at least every month, and also sometimes do the usual favourites blogs too.

February was a very busy month for me. I went to many different concerts, has some cute days out with friends, had a few days of doing absolutely nothing and then even donated my hair.

Orla Gartland
At the end of last year I received a text from my friend, Clare, asking me and my other friend Rachel if we wanted to go see Orla Gartland with her. To be honest, I was not too sure about going because, although I knew who she was, I had never bothered listening to her. Either had Rachel. Although I finally decided I would go. I spent those next couple of months listening to her new EP Lonely People, and tried to learn the words to some of the songs.

On Thursday 12th February, we went to King Tut's in Glasgow to see her. The doors opened at 8pm but we got into the presale at 7 15 so we actually got to meet her. She was so kind and down to earth, and even complimented what I was wearing! Of course, I got a photo with her long, along with Rachel too.
Before she performed, there were two supporting acts. Chelsea Cornelius and Martin Luke Brown. And they were so good! But I want to particularly mention how good Martin Luke Brown was. His voice was amazing and I even got a free EP from him. If you haven't heard him before, i reckon you listen to him on YouTube and buy his new EP when it is released/

Overall, the concert was amazing, and I really enjoyed seeing Orla singing live. If she comes and performs again, I will be sure to go and see her!

The Script

I absolutely adore The Script, and for my Christmas, my brother bought me tickets to go see them! I was so excited and finally seen them on the 20th. And oh my god it was amazing. They perform amazing live and put everything into their songs.

I had a standing ticket, and my friend Rebecca and I managed to get so close! Also, the supporting act was Tinie Tempah, and he was amazing.

My favourite song they performed had to be The Man Who Can't be Moved and Hail, Rain or Sunshine.

The whole concert was phenomenal, and I was gutted when it was finished! I really want them to come back and perform again, because I for sure will be seeing them again.

Donating My Hair
I won't write too much on this because I have written a separate blog about this event. I cut off my ponytail on the 28th February to donate it to The Little Princess Trust

Other things I done in February were,
Cute day at Nandos and Costa with friends
Long walk with the dogs
Night out with work friends

I would say that February was a fairly decent and busy month, with all the concerts and little things I did. I can't wait to see what March brings because, on the 28th, it's my birthday!

I hope you enjoyed this blog and I might do this every month.

Oh, I thought I would add in, check out Clare's youtube account, she is an amazing singer (ClareHouston)

It's All Gone!

I can't believe that I haven't written a blog in almost three weeks! The overload of homework from school and working every weekend means I have had literally no time to even socialise with friends, never mind write a blog. But, I finally have time to which I'm glad.

A few weeks ago I posted a blog about my decision to donate my hair to The Little Princess Trust. It seems forever ago that I wrote that blog and decided to donate my hair.

Beforehand, my hair was super long, and reached my waist. I loved it and had spent four years trying to get it to this length. Then I made the brave decision that I wanted to donate it.

And on the 28th February, I finally did. To be honest, I was so scared and nervous for different reasons.
Would I suit short hair?
What if it was cut too short?
What if my hair wasn't even suitable to donate?
What if I get no donations?

The event went without a hitch, and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I donated a whopping 18 inches of hair to The Little Princess Trust, and have collected a lot of money, around the £600 mark! I am so overwhelmed with the amount of support I was given by friends, family and strangers alike.

I expected my hair to be slightly longer than what it is, but at the end of the day, more hair was donated. It makes me so happy to think that a girl who has no hair will receive a real hair wig and be even more beautiful than they are already.

I would just like to thank everyone who has donated to the charity and supported me, and if you have ever had the thought of donating your hair, do it!
